I've just brought a used Audio 10 MF2910 with CD Changer controls with a CD slot in the player itself. My previous radio had the cassette.

The CD changer worked fine in the old head unit but now I can't use the CD changer, I can't even eject the CD cassette in the boot. When I pressed the CDC button, once it said "No CD Changer (or letters to that effect)" then when I press the CDC button again, nothing...

Any ideas?

I have made sure all the plugs are plugged in and the radio works fine. I don't have a CD with me to test the CD player in the head unit, as I can't eject the one in the boot :)

Thanks

The details of the old Radio would be helpful! And the details of the CD changer!

The CD changer is the standard MB 6 disc changer.
The old head unit was the factory standard MB head unit with cassette.
The car is CLK 230 K Elegance 1998

Hi,

I would try reconnecting your tape unit, and check the operation of the cd changer. With the old unit connected, switch to fm to disconnect the cd changer before unplugging the tape unit. (don´t know if this has any effect but worth a try) Then refit the cd head unit, and try again. I assume both units have the fibreoptic cable for the cd changer. Also, make sure the cd changer plug is connected fully. I hope it works, it will be a shame if the unit has a fault you weren´t told about.

Pete.
