CD changer woes

Hi,

Having a few problems with my CD changer - I keep getting a message saying 'magazine empty' or 'no CD'. Looking at the changer, the mechanism doesn't seem to be latching onto the sliders in the cd magazine. Is this something fixable or am I looking at a dead changer? In this case, any idea of cost of replacement.

I have a November 2000 S320 and it's a 6 cd changer.

First post so hope I'm doing this right.

Hi,

I have a 2000 yr S320L and had the EXACT same problem. My Bro in law is a handy electrician he took it apart and cleaned it and put it back together. All was OK. It stopped again.... this time I was told to 'whack it'... strange I know but it worked..... now every 2 months when I get Magazine empty... I remove the little bit of carpet on top and whack the side of the cartridge.... and Bob's your father's brother..... it works...... :lol:
