cd changer

Hi
New to the forum,hope you can help.
My car is a 1999 c180
Can anyone tell me where the plug/cable is in the boot i have just bought a cd changer but can"t find where it plugs in .

2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
on a 202 the CD changer is installed on the left in the boot, there are a few variants on the changers, if you get stuck come back.

Sorry it took a while to reply thanks for the info but according to our local Mercedes the changer plugs into the back of the radio.
I looked in the boot but could"nt find anything,Thanks anyway.

Hi,
Yes the Changer plugs in the back of the radio, but the other end of that cable should be in the boot on the left side where the CD Changer sits. The easiest option is to slide the radio out and check if there is a cable connected for the CD Changer.
If there isn't, you know that it's not pre-wired.
If there is, you need to trace it to see where it goes.
To slide the radio out, you will need the following tool: MB Part 000 88 63 00
They cost about £1 including VAT from the parts dept.
