do any of the ones you make play in the car?....it maybe the car audio has not been set up to play copied CD's. ie it will only play manufactured ones...or are you making them in MP3 Format? in which case your standard audio unit will not read them. the very latest should.

Some IT sorted person will no doubt cast a better light on it than me!

From the little experience I have of playing copied cd's, I have found that when I use cheaper quality blank cd's they often won't play on my cd player in the home.

I haven't actually tried to play a normal cd on my car's cd player, I guess I should really try that out....and also a copy and see if that plays...I will come back to you on that one :)

Use audio specific CDs

Copy at a lowish speed.

Use a direct copy (ie it creates a virtual 2nd drive) program like nero.

Well mine seems to be a bit like yours nask, I just put an original cd in mine....albeit a freebie from today's Daily Mail :-D , but it came up 'error'.

When I put an old copy that I found lying around in the player, it played it perfectly. After that I put the Daily Mail freebie back in and that also played fine. Maybe these players are just a bit tempermental

I have to say I did have to get the book out to figure out how to insert the cd, I expected a tray to come out, didn't realise you just stick the cd in :p

Glad it worked out. But I was pretty sure that the Audio ones would work.

I had given that same answer to another member some months ago, and it worked out also. It seems the MB units are more sensitive to the type of media that the can play.
