Hi All and Happy New Year,

I had to take the family out Shopping today  I have avoided it well up until now. Anyway what I have noticed is that every now and then I get interferrence through the CD/Radio usually near mobile phone masts/overhead power cables etc. It comes through on both CD and the radio

Now the car is a 04 C220 CDI and I have had similar problems with other cars but all that needed changing was sparkplugs ie better quality suspression plugs usually. What do you do with the CDI? :?:

By the way if anyone is heading up or down the A77 beware, I passed no fewer than 4 traffic cops patroling both sides today between Kilmarnock and Newton Mearns  You have been warned :!: :!:

Go to a radio shop and get a power filter. It splices into the power wire for your radio (as close to the radio as possible for best results) and filters out any electrical noise coming from your car, such as the alternater, wiper motor, and distributer. If you think it is coming from an external source, then check the earth contact for your antanae.

Thanks for the reply. I think I will pass it back to my dealer since I've only had the car a couple of weeks. Its the only fault I have found with the car since I collected it. Touch WOOOOOD
