I have a 110cdi, started to pump out smoke from top of engine, removed cover over injectors to see top of engine completely caked in rock hard black stuff, could see when engine was runing it was puffing from base of injector.
after chiseling of black crust was able to free injector clamp; there is approx 0.3mm movement side to side on injector, removed injector to find hair line crack on bottom section. could this have caused leakage? and how do the injectors seal as no sign of any flexi seal. Help please and is this a common problem?
