The Vito ceiling is a mess,
has anyone successfully cleaned one in situ?
What to use is the real question, as it is only stuck on to cardboard I imagine that could stain through itself.

The other option is to dye it.

I have cleaned filthy headlinersof various types and styles in situ with very good results. I think sagging due to cleaning is an urban myth. Your vito is however a big bugger, and overhead cleaning is hard. I'd take it off if possible. My viano was easy.

I use a garden sprayer with a strong solution of Virosol degreaser (say 75%). it will foam, rub in the foam and move it over the headlining with a damp microfibre. remove with a wet n dry vac. do it on a warm day so it dries quickly

The trick is you MUST clean all of the headlining; else, you will end up with tide marks.
