Please tell me I can safely mix and match with my Comma fluid I use for auto gear box or something similarly cheap?

if its any help i use only the correct fluid in my workshop!! its just not worth the risk 11 quid per litse aint the end of the world!

yes use anything you like, it will cause damage but the fluid will be cheap

eurocarparts sell it for 5.75+vat but are out of stock, plus you have to collect from Wembley, they do not send out fluids.

All I was saying is that 11.66+vat sounded really expensive for a litre of hydraulic fluid.

I presume MB are making in excess of 100% profit on this...

All car dealerships have at least 100% mark up on the parts and I suspect MBUK take a fair whack as well before they sell it onto the stealer. Euro Car Parts buy direct from the suppliers so you would expect them to be about 1/2 price. There are a myriad of different specifications for what appears to be the same fluid and the manufacturer will spec one for a reason. If ECP can guarrantee the same fluid go for it! If not, stay with MB because at c£5 saving it ain't worth the risk.
