central locking on 190e

hey all, just a small query...

the central locking on my merc has gone crazy! when you unlock the drivers door only the drivers door unlocks.....if you open and shut the drivers door the other doors unlock...

if you unlock from the passengers side all unlock....

Sounds like you need to check your vacuum operated central locking system for leaks. Best bet is to start at the pump end and check all the pipes are tight and try again. Then one by one you could try sucking on each pipe. If there is a leak you will soon find which pipe is not sealed properly..then follow the path of the tube, checking all the way to the lock itself.

Hi, The pump is under the rear seat in a foam casing.

however the leak seems to be at your drivers door if it works from passenger side. I would first of all check for problems in the driver door lock mechanism. Take the trim off the door and look to see if u can see anything there.
