central locking packed up

I have a 1983 w123 200t estate, and have checked everything within the doors, can anyone tell me where else to check? or what else can i do to fix this fault? please.

I wonder, could it be the central locking vacuum pump? Or a hose come adrift from it?

I'm guessing, as my W202 saloon may be considerably different from yours, but the principle may be the same.

Have you checked the petrol flap lock, its also vacuum operated. It has a similar mechanism as the doors.

Does it work with engine running?? the vacum comes off the inlet manifold. if so its just a small leak. check all cells including petrol flap. thens its down to checking all the lines inc the vac tank. its alot easier with a vac pump with guage.

Try the fuse box. Check to see that the fuse controlling the central locking is intact

no fuse, its operated from the engine vacume
