I think it takes the signal from the speed sensors. If you disconnected this wire going to the C.locking control, this feature would be de-activated.

But why on earth would you want to do that?

Thanks, forgot to say vehicle is going to be used as a taxi and its nuisance value having to keep unlocking via control on dash

I think if you press and hold the door lock/unlock rocker switch on the dash in the 'unlock' position for up to 10 seconds, you will disable this automatic function. Conversely, to have the doors lock themselves automatically once you're in motion, press and hold the switch in the 'lock' position (which is what I think has already been done on yours). Try this & let us know?

By the way there's something to be said around here at least for keeping your doors locked when you're working, especially at night. If they do this automatically there's less risk of undesirables jumping you at lights, outside pubs &c &c before you've had a chance to hit the lock button, no?

Good result, glad it worked!

One of the ways I believe this forum helps us is in making better informed demands for proper service and attention from the dealers when we have no choice but to use them. They aren't actually all bad ... but it's here that you can find out which are the good'uns ...
