certificate of conformity for 2007 vito 120 cdi

Hi Folks
Can you help me ? i live in France and am in the process of registering my Vito van .
They have asked for a cert of conformity which usually comes with your book pack mine isn`t there .
I dont need the physical certificate just a scanned copy ti send with the online application .Can any one tell me where to get one free ? i have contacted the dealership but they want 120 pounds .Its going to cost a lot to register the van so was hoping not to pay that as well ? Does anyone have a 2007 vito with a cert i could get a copy of via email? Any suggestions ?

I have registered UK cars in France before and always had to pay main dealer a certificate. Last time it was £140! I think they are linked to VIN so not much choice really.

oh ok thank you JDPE i was reading on a expats site that if you have a number under K on your V5 they can use this some prefectures dont know about it though.

As above you need the original document to register. It comes from Stuttgart to Milton Keynes and then over to France. Once registered at least there is no annual road tax
The K on your VS will enable you to do the control technique but not resister it.

Its all done online now no taking documents to prefecture so i just need a copy.

But you still need the original as when you make a copy, COPY appears across it and they don't accept that when you scan the original that doesn't happen. So either you need the original or a saved digital scan of the original.
