Changing headlamp on W202

OK, I feel quite foolish asking this question but does anyone have any magic tip on how to unhook the metal clamp holding in the dipped beam headlight on the W202?

Manual says "unclip" - yeh, easy when you know how.
Haynes says "squeeze either side to unclip" - but I cannot for the life of me get it to budge with this method - I can't seem to get enough leverage on the nearside unit with the ABS pump right behind it. (And the offside has the air filter box so no room there either.)

I'm sure I'm going to feel quite embarassed when someone tells me the real simple solution...... :oops:

Worked it out after looking at it using a small mirror :wink:

You have to push the top of the clip back and to one side to release it from two small metal hooks.

Now why can't the manual say that ?????
