Hi!

Our 52 plate Sprinter 211 CDI MWB was stolen the other day. Thankfully the police recovered it but without the key. Rather concerned it could be stolen again using the key if the thieves have kept the key so was hoping to change the lock set. I would be happy enough changing lock barrels but does anyone know whay would happen with the ignition barren and immobiliser. Could I change the immobiliser or would a dealer be required to change the ecu?

I got quoted £600 +VAT for the whole lock set and immobiliser replaced by the dealer but with the van purchased for £3500 it's quite a large sum when compared to its value. Any ideas of what I can do to save money but make it safe?

Cheers!
