I plan on attempting this job over the weekend (weather permitting) and have a new MB pair of ball joints and nuts.
Are there any tips hints etc please. Not done this before and watched a video of them being done on an E63 but the video didn't show the actual removal and refitting.
It the BJ easy to remove once the nuts are removed and the joint separated? I do have a BJ separator and fork to use.
I'm hoping this will cure my slight tick tick tick sound when steering at low speeds, although at 184k they probably need a change anyway.
I have eliminated any steering issues as this noise is absent when the front of the car is raised.
Also control arms were replaced recently.
I do plan on replacing most of the major front suspension components at some point, maybe next summer now.
