changing stereo and have a few questions?

I have a clk the w208 model and am changing the head unit and need some advice from some of you out there? i was just wondering what sort of lead set up is behind the current head unit? will i need a set of adaptor leads to change it to standard iso fitting? and i have steering wheel controls on mine adn wondering if there is any way to make use of these with the after market unit>?
any advice would be appreciated or links to sites with info

stereo standard iso plugs some alpine units will connect to steering wheel controls with adaptor, standard cd changer will not connect to aftermarket head units, speed pulse is also in some iso"s but you need to check pin 1, if you have bose this is a down the line upgrade so your replacement headunit will work with it. regards broncoupe

keep the original stereo, then when it's time to sell the car, refit it. Not everyone will like your new stereo as much as you and its quite likely a buyer might prefer the original stereo
