Changing wheels / tyres on e350

I have a e350 sport with the 19s and thin profile tyres. It's too hard ride because of the tyres. Can I put thicker profile tyres on the 19s or would I have to get smart wheels first ? Thanks !

Best idea to improve the ride is to go for 18”

The options are 17/18/19in for the E class although you would have to check that the 17in wheels fit over the calipers - as above I’d go for the 18in to retain some of the handling particularly turn-in

I dropped my 19's and went 16...big difference in ride comfort and don't stress hitting pot holes so much now!

Increasing the profile without decreasing the wheel diameter will likely cause issues with clearance as well as reducing your speedometer indicated speed.
By far the best bet is to buy new rims and tyres.
I'd recommend Alloy wheels Direct for MB rims with tyres fitted.

I have the same car a 2012 version. It came on 18" wheels which are ok, but I much prefer the 17" winter wheels.
16" won't fit due the the sports callipers.

Look on eBay loads of deals out there. I bought a set on MB wheels & all season tyres 18 months old for £440 delivered.
