Hi mate took stickers off there’s no screw caps under them might be they changed to a sealed type not sure, will leave battery in boot just want to trickle charge when not using car for a while
Post a picture of what you have under the stickers, I've not seen one that can't be opened yet... ;)

Hope that’s ok
Those black rectangular bits should prose off. Might cause a bit of damage doing it but as the battery is useless at the moment it’s no loss

Will a healthy battery normally remain charged adequately when the car is in use every week? ;)

Should be fine. I never had any trouble with the eight year old battery in my 207 as long as I used it each week. It was only once, when it had stood for 2 or 3 weeks in really cold weather, that it let me down.

I've got a 'SreetWize Master Charger' (no, I'd never heard of it before, either) that I think came from EuroCar Parts.

I've got the same one. It's done me okay and still going strong, although I've just upgraded to a Ctek for my AGM battery charging. Still have the StreetWize though

Thanks @Srdl and @Janchee. How can I best get to the battery to confirm it? I tried to remove the black plastic cover but it is quite tight :(
Doh, got youtube to sort out for me searching battery change tutorials. Happy to report it was indeed an AGM and managed to recharge it all right :)

Lild have a deal on a CTEK

looks like trying to clear, the London road High Wycombe store still had about 10 on the shelf, but they knocked a bit more off this week....

https://www.ctek.com/uk/products/car/ct5-time-to-go-uk box claims some new feature called "Go" £59.99 its white with an AGM mode and up to 5 Amp output. I just got one as one of my oxford bike ones blew its brain outs (although already missing what volt and amps is actually pushing which every charger should have)

Confirming C220 is starting first time on the button, the wet cell battery exchange solved the starting issue , when tested at the auto center they said the battery was reading a bit below the norm when under starting load and the computer would cop this and throw up malfunctions.Never the less the charging and maintenance of batteries is important and everyone needs to know their battery type and charger type before connecting up to boost. Hope this info helps someone.
