I have a 320 ML slow as a shire horse.I have seen i can have it `chipped` does this make such a difference that makes it worth doing.
Has anyone else experienced whether its worth it.

Sell it and get an ML270 - they respond much better to a chip.

I sold my ML320 'cos it guzzled juice, it was OK on the performance side. I would have a look at checking things first before chipping other drivers have had problems with their MAF sensors which has restricted performance (mine thrashed a 740 BMW... yes he was trying, he passed me 2 miles later when I'd backed off!)

Chips usually only give you about 10% extra power on a petrol engine - it's turbo diesels that give big improvements (typically 30% on power and torque)
