Chrome?

Hi All.
Is the grill on my 97 C180 real chrome or is it a plastic plated?
It needs a good clean and i wondered if i can use chrome polish, or if this will harm the surface? any ideas on whats best to use?

autoglym do a cleaning/polish for chrome which I've used on mine. Worked well removing the 150mph head on flies

I don't think it is chrome, but it is certainly not a plastic. Some sort of alloy I suspect.

I used all sorts of cleaners on mine, including chrome polish with no detrimental affects.
