- Citan 111 W415 2016 1.4 CDi
Hello everybody, I am a Brit living in Germany. I hope somebody can offer me some advise...
I took my Citan (111 CDi 2016) to a garage for an oil change. Not long after the oil change the exhaust system came on, so I took it back to the garage. They stated that the on board computer says the sensor is broken, mechanic says this can happen and the sensor is only 50-60 euros and easily changed. So I ask them to change it. Get a call during the day, they cant change the sensor easily its in a really stupid place and they would have to remove the diesel particle filter system etc to get to it, this would be a day and a half job minimum. (1000+ euro).
Now my question, after looking around on the web these sensor seem easily replaced on most models.... is this garage taking me for a ride ? or is there something special with the Citan sensor placement... does anybody know ??
Thank you.
