I replace the fuse and the clicking noise comes from the PSE in the boot.
I replaced pump but problem continues meaning i have no central locking which is a real pain when i have to open the boot with the key . i have to use a pair of pliers to get enough torque on the key to open the boot.
I can still unlock the doors with the key button but have to physically close the door with the locks in down position to lock the doors.
Has any one had this clicking and fuse melt before ?

Firstly get some lubricant into your boot lock and work it until it’s smooth and moving freely.

Secondly you have a short somewhere hats blowing the fuse. I’d be looking for water damage which I think CL’s can suffer from.

Not usually, it tends to be SLs that see the water damage...

I know the SL’s and SLK’s can have water leak issues but I thought that the CL had a vent that leaked in as well? Might have dreampt it:oops:

The only one I know is the heater box, but that’s common across all MB...

I’ve seen a post or 2 about water leaking down the hinge into the boot, that’s what I was thinking.

Yes I think water can affect the pse pump on the CL, the foam around the pump can become sodden and cause issues - left hand side of boot behind the lining.
