Hi all,

This may seem rather a dumb question, but can anyone tell me how to remove the big plastic cover that sits on top of the engine block of the CL240V6, year 2000 model, new shape.

It there screws or clips underneath, how many, location etc ?

Also, do I need to remove the BOTTOM engine cover to do an oil and filter / fuel filter change ? Any tips / special tools required ?

Just pull it off. Its only rubber mounted.

Lower cover is 8mm screws. Dead simple and it covers your sump bung

2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
Just a little more detail lift the front piece about 45 degrees and pull towards you and the rear piece lifts straight up
