Hi all.

I'm still working through my car and taking care of all the bits I want to sort out.

One thing I'd love to do is to lower the ride height by around 20mm. I can assure you that I,m not even attempting a 'slammed look' as I want the car to stay looking poised and purposeful but still maintain its elegance, which I love.

Currently the car just sits too high and looks a tad 'underwheeled', so I'd like to tastefully lower it just to keep a good aesthetic.

Any tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated, I have been looking at some lowering links on eBay?

Many thanks again.

Kindest regards.

Not at all bud but mine looks like its on stilts by comparison.

Yours is too low for me tho, I would like to lose 15-20mm tops.
That car wasn’t lowered, it’s on the standard ride height settings! The trick is in the wheels.

Edit. They’re only 18” alloys too.

Edit edit. After this trip I had the rear struts raised +5mm in Star, as on super bumpy roads I would get the occasional tyre clonk on the arch. Made no difference to the look.

So could my suspension be sitting too high as standard? - theres a 3-4 inches above the rear wheels and I’m on AMG 19”.

The wheelarch centres should be 700mm above the ground, when parked on flat & level.

I would strongly suggest you take your car to a Star-equipped Indy and get your ride height recalibrated… if there’s that much gap then you have something wrong!

Do you ever get to use the distronic around Cambridge with the radio telescope shutting the system down
I don’t need no stinkin’ radio telescope to shut MY Distronic down… it’s perfectly capable of deactivating itself! Every 20 min or so usually… I think I have a failing wheel speed sensor, but it’s a real PITA!
