CL500 seat position

HI - does anyone know how to prevent the driver's seat back resetting it's position after it's tipped forward ( to enable passenger acces to the rear for instance ) ? The manual says the seat back automatically re-positions to ensure rear passengers' knees are squashed but it's a real pain when you just want to put a briefcase behind your seat !

spooky - i assume your initials are G and D - so are mine

and i live in herts

and I drive a CL (W140)

and I have no idea how to stop this happening - maybe program #2 to a slightly forward posistion?
