Cl500 w215 What power steering pump to replace the dual abc/Power steering pump

Hello, I am wondering if someone can help or has done similar to myself, After having removed the ABC suspension struts and replacing them with conventional struts I have obviously eradicated the need for the ABC system.

One of the ABC lines and also the ABC part of the dual abc/power steering pump has a leak so I would much rather just replace the pump for a normal power steering pump, for cost reasons and labour reasons...

My problem is I'm not sure which Mercedes power steering pump I can use to replace the ABC and power steering dual pump?

Has anyone done the same? Does anyone know what other Mercedes models power steering pumps can be used?

I suspect that noone has done this.
Have you thought about keeping the orignal and blanking of the ports for the suspension, or adding a simple loop back?

I suspect that blanking off the ports shouldn't do any harm as the pump applies pressure rather than flow of oil to the struts when in a steady state condition.

thanks, i woudl but the ABC dual pump has a bad leak so have to replace the pump anyway.. else i would probably do it that way.

I now know the w220 S500 wil use a compatible power steering pump so going down that route now.

It is a matter of trawling through the EPC to find out, the 230 came with standard suspension and ABC so a pump form the 230 350SL could be the same

What an interesting project - I'd have loved to have done the same and got rid of the festering pile of poo that was ABC on my car.
