Hi folks. My CL500 W215 won’t start. I have replaced both batteries but still no joy. Consumers power up ok but the engine won’t crank.
Fault codes are
Voltage Supply Of Component
CURRENT and
0868 Motor Electronics/Battery Voltage STORED
Too Low For ADC(P0607)
1108
The Voltage At Relay 'Circuit 87' Is CURRENT and
Too LOW. (P2505)
STORED
M16/6 (Throttle Valve
0224 Actuator) perform Throttle Valve
Adaptation. (P2176)
CURRENT and
STORED

Any help greatly appreciated

Thanks for your reply. Those codes are after I cleared all faults.

Your list didn’t come out too well. It LOOKS like there is a crank position sensor fault plus a throttle valve actuator fault.

Either way around, where are you based? You may need to have the car recovered to a garage and you may need one with good knowledge of the pig awkwardness of the 215…

Based in Ireland. I’m motor trade myself. The non start occurred after it was laying up for a long time and had flattened batteries.

Pig awkward about right. Strange if all these faults are after batt change AND faults cleared? Currently bets are on crank sensor of harness to it.
I changed my w208 batt once and it somehow blew the maf and alt reg, I wonder if that's similar to wots going on here. I researched after my event and found it fairly common and accepted method to avoid it was to have load on batt before cranking on new batt.

It just has 2 low voltage and throttle actuator faults after clearing

OK now Google that benz fault code . Wondering if that's referring to pot on throttle pedal or, more likely given ur description actuator on throttle body.?
However if throttle actuator don't get signal from ecm which looks input from pedal pot maybe it gives that fault code.

Solved
On further inspection it turned out to be a faulty relay in the engine fuse box.

That makes sense, it was called up in your fault report:

The Voltage At Relay 'Circuit 87' Is CURRENT and
Too LOW. (P2505)

Both batteries? Do you mean the key batteries? The batteries are not required in the keys to start the car.

The W215 has only one battery...or am I missing something?

W216 has 2 batteries, but I'm pretty certain that my W215 only had the one in the boot - a real if you had a power open/close boot and a flat battery!
