They are expensive in all respects.

I drive a 1995 CL500 and its pretty much mint and mechanically very good, its take a while to bring it round and its been a steep learning curve but I know alot about the W140 CL500 so if you want to know anything then just ask.

Mechanicals on these are very good check everything, coils brake and cost about £80 each. Shocks are expensive £600 is the cheapest Ive found for one!!!
Bodywork, they do rust so try to find one that hasnt had recent paintwork, front wings are £300+++ headlamps £800 each so the bobywork has to be good.

Electrics easy enough but complex Carl www.w140.co.uk is great for W140 parts.

Buy 1995 onwards, expect to find most with 100k and over on the clock but mileage isnt that important condition and how it drives is.
