CL55 AMG 5.4L 2001 battery charge if boot locked

Hi there... some advice please... new to this forum.
Battery on car is flat and cannot open boot with key blade. Can battery be trickled charged from under bonnet, and if so, where is the charge point?

Hello and welcome,

Use the big +ve point under the bonnet - it might be under a black or red plastic lid (usually close to one of the suspension turrets (the -Ve is usually on one of the turrets)

I'd also get some lube into the mechanical lock in the boot (and door lock) so that you can use the metal key if you have to...

If you have a powered boot opening mechanism then you'll need to gain access to the fuse box on the drivers side (right side when sat in the car) of the engine bay.
The main feed for the battery is at the back of the fuse box, near the windscreen.
Alternatively pick the largest fuse that you can see and apply battery voltage to one side.
You just need to supply enough power to drive the boot mechanism.
I had to do this on my 2004 model, once to open the boot and another to jump start it (as there was no positive post under the bonnet!)

Welcome to the forum. Not sure about the CL, but if it's anything like the SL, you need to get some WD40 up inside your boot key hole so the blade key will open it.
