afternoon.
Has anyone bought any bits from 'Classic Trim Parts'?

I'm thinking about buying a new vanity mirror from them for my R129, the original one disintegrated, and flew off into the sky on the A20 (the roof down was down at the time).

Its an aftermarket (3d printed) part but looks exactly like my original, and the price is "ok". Ive seen whole, second hand sunvisors on ebay - with the mirror - for around £299. Mercedes want £220 new - cant remember if this is without VAT mind....

I take it that's a US company. Postage from the UK to the US has become stupidly high and also factor in that you may get caught for import duty and VAT on both the cost of the item and shipping cost (although you might get lucky). Then you'll get charged by the carrier for customs clearance and by the bank for paying in foreign funds. All adds up.

good point re the import duty. that can go up to 12% i think
