CLC 180 2008 Wing Mirror

Hi,

Someone very kindly smashed my wing mirror and I've been advised that Mercedes want £400 to replace it. Apparently it's a special dimming glass and there aren't any patten parts for this specific wing mirror.

Is the above true? Does anyone have ideas if there is anywhere else I can try.

That is true.
The non-diming passenger side mirror glass on my 210 costs £50 from MB but the driver's side is something like £250-300! That's enough to make one want a VIN from a LHD car...

Try to find a second hand mirror from one of the breakers or on ebay?

I don't know that model well.... but the mirror is likely the same as the C Class saloon.

Bad luck, yes all 203 mirrors are the same year for year, a face lift I think about 06
