CLC Repeater Bulb

MOT failure due to repeater lamp in the door mirror not working. Been and purchased the part, but unable to get the mirror apart, I have looked at ALL the YouTube videos and every one has a different mirror to mine. You will see on the attached photos that the mirror is a sealed unit, unlike the ones on YouTube you cannot push it forwards or backwards to reveal the tag to release the mirror housing.

Plastic trim tools shouldn't cause any damage - I expect the outer shell is just clipped on - I've a few of the below tools that work really well

Still struggling with this mirror. Managed to get the glass out but cannot get to the led light unit , just cannot get the mirror casing off. Totally stuck.

Like @Blobcat said, just press a pry tool in the gap and lift the outer shell very slow, will pop up , is clipped on.

Hi Alexcls thank you for your prompt reply, you and Blobcat are quite right it needed a lot more force than I was giving it. I have got the cover off which is surprisingly totally unscathed and replaced the light unit, all working well now, thank you both very much for your help.
