Hi bought a new CLC200cdi on 1st Sep.
The fuel consumption claimed by MB
Combined 48 MPG extra urban 60MPG
I can get nowhere near these figures.
My daily route is to travel 35miles to work which only 5 of these miles are in town the rest are on main roads travelling at around 60 to 70 MPH.
Today I purposely kept the revs below 2000RPM all the way to work and it registered 42MPG
Anyone with a new CLC having the same issues?

mpg's on brand new diesels improves as the engine clocks up a few thousand miles, also, the only reliable way to work out mpg's is to see how many miles you get to a known tankful of fuel rather than rely on the on board computer.

That's a manual you're driving is it? [had to check;)]

Auto figures are considerably less (~43mpg combined / 52mpg extra urban).
They're very sensitive to the amount of welly you use on the accelerator and are thirsty in the lower gears.
