A new product that has been tested and approved in the trade is Cataclean made by Kalimex the makers of the rad and head sealer that have sold over 100,000 samples.

This cleaner is put into the tank and run for an hour has got cars through the emmision test and diesel smoke test with a 60% reduction.

This also cleans the Lambda and the EGR valve along with blocked cats.

Cataclean is patented and is the only additive that works.

I will try and find out during the day.

Malcolm
I seriously hope your right in trusting their claims. With the number of sensors on benz, any additive or cleaner can be disaster. My manager invited one company to trial a fuel injector additive and I argued with him on this, anyway he whent ahead with the trial. Two days later the car returned and the engine had to be rebuilt plus new lamda sensors and new catalitic converter. I dont whant to worry anyone, but just be sure of what the product can do before spreading the word. Thanks:idea:

No problems here, the product was put out to a number of MOT stations and it was used on 100's of cars over 3 years, go to the link kindly put up by Parrot.

My thoughts here Eric are that it may not be a bad idea to use it before the system clogged right up, I always found it easier de coking a recently worked on car to one that had been over 50k

Thats sensible thinking, maybe on the slightly newer cars it could act as a sort of caretaker. But I would worry using it on a high mileage motor. So we only need you to test it first Malcolm:D :D

Whats a V70R:confused:

V70R is a 2.3 turbo Volvo Estate with 290 BHP as fast as the SL special interior and suspension, wheels,Bose etc. It will do wheel spins at 40mph.
it has a huge appetite for rubber and petrol, but good fun.

Maybe you should put some in the SL if it's no faster than the Volvo ;).

I will try that stats, no the SL is faster, but I do not like belting that one, and I doubt if you thrash your SL;) ;) No one can see what a nice car it is if I drive it too fast:rolleyes:
