cleaned air filter now miss fireing

right i took off top of air box and disconected from airflow sensor then removed air filter and then removed the rest of the air box,i emtyed it then refitted the box,then cleaned air filter with an air line and no water or anythink,so refited the filter in the air box and refitted box to air flow sensor now the car is miss fireing and boggin down on low revs and a light has com on saying check engine.it a clk320 cabriolet 2001 plate please can any one help thanks

Did you use the air line on the air flow sensor?

Pull the plug off the cam shaft adjuster and see if it oily, right on the front of the engine

ummmmm did have ing on at the time i cleaned it but did start the car with the air box off but the air mass meter was stil connected and plugged in

Good chance the ECU see the open curcuit, will need a reset on star to cure/besure!

Without seeing the star reports i couldnt say, sounds like it to me, did a star machine to reset, where in the world are you?

What SAM Unit has said is spot on, you need any fault codes stored in the car's ECU read and reset as appropriate.
