What do you use / recommend?

I have nice glossy paintwork and deep black tyres and the inner arches are letting things down. They are 'clean' as in no crud etc but not really clean.

What can I use to give them an even clean deep black finnish?

Mr muscle oven cleaner in the spray can, work it in with a softish brush and wash away with a hose then use some tyre black to gloss things up.

Oven cleaner! That's a seriously aggressive degreaser.

Not sure I feel comfortable using that on my car

When my car decides to throw a leak then the wheel arch gets oily, So I have one wheel arch looking like new, they are made of a hardish flexible plastic, as said the tyre dressing must be quite good.

And Peter do not forget to remove the mud in the lip of the wing all around, it is this mud that can stay wet all Winter the can give so many problems

Just noticed, the rear arch liners are 'furry'!!

Fronts are as expected smooth plastic but rears appear like coarse door mats. Only had the car 4yrs....

common for arch liners to be "furry" nowadays. its to reduce spray apparently. and probably cheaper too!

Why not flock spay the arches, you just have to spray on the glue, then the flock of you choice, they would look nice in pink on your car and you could make them all furry
