Cleaning Dull Headlamps.

Paper towel and WD 40 did it for me in a few minutes.Spray on the WD 40, leave for 30 seconds or so,polish off with paper towel,repeat if necessary,job done.

Depends how they’ve dulled. If the PC has started to yellow, they need cutting back and then sealing.

WD40 is 99% volatile so won't hang around for long.

WD just puts a shine on. give it 2 days and you will be back here.
plenty of threads on restoring dulled headlights. Wet, dry, soapy water and elbow grease and then a spray with a UV resistant laquer.

WD 40 on the tail lenses licence plate lights,buffed and excess cleaned off gently with paper towel,good as new again.

But the lenses need sealing from UV afterwards or they will re-dull.
