Why not go for the really simple solution and put some diesel injector cleaner in a full tank of fuel?
This looks ok but quite involved and you are going to get diesel smell everywhere. As they say though don't try this on the direct injection diesels.

I've already put a bottle of Wynns in the tank, but this seems like a much more effective solution.

I fancied just filling the fuel filter, reattaching it, and then starting her up. Just idle thoughts really, wondered what other people thought about it.
