cleaning seats

just curious, do you have to do anything before hand when cleaning cloth seats. as i want to use a spot cleaner, which is similar to a carpet cleaner it draws water in to the seat fabric. thanks

I'd vacuum them first so you're not rubbing grit into the fabric
I'd also test the cleaner on a bit you can't see so that you know if it's going to bleach or stain the fabric
