climate control on C class 220 CDi

on 'Auto' the aircon delivers cold air only to the upper part of the body. No cold air is pumped out through the floorwell vents even after 100 miles. Result: upper part frozen and feet/legs sweating. 2003 model, under warranty, dealer says, that is the design as cold air will sink .

Any suggestions

does it blow cold on your feet if told to do so manually?

i dont believe the dealer...

yes it does blow cold air quite alright on manual setting
