I had a flat battery and managed to finally get into the boot and change it.Since this has been done I have no electric windows and the red switch for the roof is lit up all the time and the switch for the headrest has a red light on all the time as if it is faulty.elec wing mirror adjusters don't work.Initially all these things fixed itself after the car was running for 20 minutes but now it is always faulty.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Hi Bob and welcome..

Your car needs a re set

Turn the key to 2.
Lower then raise each window and hold the switch for 10 sec in the up mode.

Do the same with the roll bar in the up and down mode.

thats it.

The roof cannot move until it knoews where the windows and roll bar are:D:D

Yes I am thinking possible water in electrics,,I think that the fault codes will have to be read out.

You can use a good indie.

Where are you based

Clk Window Problem And Other

I have tried disconnecting the battery again, once again it cured the fault and the windows worked and the lights went out on the roof switch and rear seat head rests(safety bars) .I drove the car for 2 hours and it was fine turned the car off for 5 min went back into car and it was ok.The next time I turned the car off for a couple hours and tried it again and it was back to the original fault.no windows roof switch light on and rear head rest adj switch showing fault.

any ideas

clk 230 conv fault codes

I have had the fault codes read and they are as follows

1.c1140 sterring angle sensor
2.c1142 b24/2 ESP Acceleration Sensor
3.Airbag sensor drivers side resistance to low
4.B1091 Rollover Bar /soft top control Module

The last fault I am assuming is causing the main problems with the windows not working and the roof not working.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks
