Hi,

I am new to Mercedes but have come across a issue with my CLK, after locking the vehicle, the hazzard lights start to flash quick quickly but no alarm siren noise. After opening the car with the key fob then re locking, sometimes this will cure the issue but other times we get the same issue as above or the alarm goes fully off with lights flashing and noise.

I have read a few people saying it could be the siren failing/batteries, does anyone have any experience of this curing this type of issue please?

For note, the car battery is fully charged and only a few months old, no issues with that after putting a battery condition device onto it.

Any help would be really appreciated

Thanks in advance

Rob

It will be the alarm "on board" battery.

Thanks for your reply, just to confirm this is the battery within the siren itself? I found this on e bay. IMG_8586.png

I had the same thing on one of my SLs - all alarms are different, but if that one fits your alarm then go fo it. Getting into the alarm "might" present you with a problem - on the SL it took a saw to open it. Do check out what a new one might cost first

That’s great, I’ll look to see how much a new siren cost, appreciate your help.
