Hi There

Could any body help me, its my first time posting a thread but the last couple of days I've been driving along and sometimes the alarm sounds for about 2 seconds this is only audio there is no visual. Has anybody ever come across this and any idea how I could remedy this.

Many thanks

Hello and welcome, and as SAM above the siren normally solves it

Roughly about £68 from mercedes and half an hour to fit, remove the inner wheel arch lining on the passenger side and its at the bottom part of the inner arch, bit of a fiddle but easy enough for a DIYer.

Hi All,

Just got the same problem on my CLK240, and have solved it based on the described procedure, however there was a slight problem with a torx screw which was securing the siren to a frame. The screw had a pin inside (why?). The siren was £75 + VAT at MB.
And finally, when closing/opening the sound comes along with flashing (i.e. 3 flashes, 3 bipps), which have never occured before. Is that normal, or is it an remaining error within the ECU?

Its the way the new siren works, just a update i guess, the reason for the pin, its a security bolt!!
