is the above engine ok fitted to a w209
Does the newer engine have a higher euro rating for emissions?I've the 646 in a 2009 211,
and the 651 in a 2014 639.
I would take the 646 over the 651 any day.
Even as standard the power and torque spec of the 646 beats the 651. And it's smooth and quiet.
You would expect it to be t'other way round by reputation.

Have a read of the below, generally after 2008 is okany hickups with that then

Do the later 272's (post 2729..30 468993 I believe) have nay other issues?
It generally looks like most of the engine gubbins is situated within the 'V'. So meaning most replacements can be carried out with the engine in situ, unlike the diesel 651.
