HI Guys,

My 2000 CLK 230 has quite a loud hum/whine coming from around the driver's footwell above speeds of 40mph. It sound a bit like excessive tyre noise. However, They're correctly inflated, balanced and aligned, so I'm just wondering if it might be the Kompressor/ Supercharger leaking and in need of attention.

Any ideas in what direction it might be and what kind of costs i might be facing.

Many thanks

GP

last time i see that it was the front wheel bearing gone, getting to be a common fault now with the 208s, !!!

Cheers SAM

Although the wheel is rock solid when jacked up. No play/rebound.
