Hello,

I had the car a B Service at a main dealer yesterday... 52000 miles. I was advised that front pads had 75% wear, and front discs could also use changing.

I have previously changed both these on my old Peugeot -- is it an easy enough job on the CLK? I.e. remove the caliper by removing the pins, secure it somewhere and remove the retaining bolts on the disc? And, where are the retaining bolts on the discs?

Anyone done a write up on this?

Thanks in advance!
Ol

Hi,
Very easy. 20-30 minutes a side, if you have done discs and pads before there is nothing particulary hard about these, the disc is secured by a single countersunk allen screw.
I bought my discs and pads from Euro car parts, very cheap too and OEM quality, remember to replace the wear sensor as well, even though the light has not come on mine broke when i removed them from the pad.
