Just got a 03 CLK 270 and its got a bad leak from No2 injector.I noticed in the past this injector has given trouble and has bolt and copper washer replaced.I noticed on this forum that they are prone to giving trouble.When i pulled the cover of there was not much carbon contamination more everything was covered in diesel.Any way pulled injector out cleaned seat replaced washer and new injector pipe and new bolt washed everthing down.
Started it up and every thing fine but after a fast run no2 injector is covered in diesel again. There is no blowing of bubbles by the sealing washer which leads me to think it needs a new injector. Can these be bought new from Mercedes and just fitted or do they have to be coded to the ECU like some of the Ford ones.
