Filled up with fuel yesterday left forecourt car cut out whilst waiting for lights to change (car in D position) swithched off engine put in P etc etc tried to restart car which it did but when revs went back to 5 it cut put again tried several times but to no avail.pushed car to side and waited for mechanic to ring us after 5 mins tried car again and it started ok and managed to get to mechanic to find the fault.any ideas gratefully received!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't mean to be insulting & it would have read much better with a 'may have' in there.However,I do speak from experience.We see 2 or 3 a month who 'haven't put diesel in'.At least one of these will call you a liar and would appear to prefer a bill running into thousands (strangely,more often than not,BMW drivers in a lease vehicle).
So please accept my apologies if you feel slighted.
