You don't say what age or price you are looking for. I wouldn't buy from auctions -no guarantee. Try this site for lots of secondhand Mercs
http://www.used-mercedescars.co.uk/
If you get full MBSH you get a 30 year rust guarantee and breakdown service. Well worth having.

Hi & Welcome,
The Mercedes Command has never been the greatest Sat Nav, you maybe better off finding one without and using an aftermarket system.

The Clk430 is quite a rare car to find, I have one myself. Is it the Coupe or the Cabriolet you looking for?

I am very happy with the performance, mine is the Cabriolet but it is v v fast. Makes a great noise as well. It will be a lot smoother than an M3, although not as good on twisty roads etc. The 430 is at home on the open road/motorways. It is thirsty though but that goes without saying on a 4.3 v8

I have a C43 which has pretty much the same chassis, steering, engine, gearbox, suspension, etc (the engine has a few more horses, the brakes are a little larger)

In terms of performance the the M3 will always win on paper but in the real world the grunt of the V8 and the smoothness of the autobox make the C430 a very capable and very fast machine. The M3 may be faster round the Nurburgring but.......who cares?

Not bad money well above trade or private money I felt, had been re-sprayed only a month ago!!
Nice to see that it was owned and loved by a fellow mercedes enthusiast!!!
