CLK 500 Side Window

The drivers window on my 02 CLK 500 has started making a clonking noise every time the door is closed. Sounds like the glass is moving slightly inside the door, Any ideas---the door card looks v. difficult to remove and probably a dealer job.

One of the nuts that hold window or regulator in place will have worked loose causing it rattle when closed, quite comman on the clk. the door card isnt too difficult to remove, give it a go, you will need some torx screwdrivers or sockets.

Sorry, not sure but its the current model registered 2002.

Look in the front nearside bottom of window you will see the ID number

OK what I eas trying to do was to give an indication of how the panels are held on, they often have the plastic clips at the bottom and screws for the rest.

Re the Air bag, disconnect battery for 10 mins then disconnect air bag and lay it face down out of the sun, that is if you find that it is in the way, if its not ignore this
